OUR STORY
Kinu was founded by Maria and Carlos through a shared passion for experiencing places beyond the surface. Based between Dubai and Europe, they have spent years returning to the same destinations, building a deeper understanding of the places that continue to inspire them. Today, Kinu reflects that personal way of travelling.

Our selection remains intentionally limited to destinations we know intimately and return to often. From boutique hotels and local restaurants to hidden spots and quieter corners, our recommendations go beyond the obvious and are shaped by lived experience.
INSPIRATION BEHIND KINU
Kinu draws its inspiration from two places that have shaped the way we travel: Japan and the Mediterranean. Our Spanish roots and summers spent in the Mediterranean taught us the beauty of slow living, nature, and shared moments, while Japan introduced us to refinement, craftsmanship, and attention to detail.
The olive tree represents our Mediterranean heritage, while the name Kinu reflects the Japanese values that continue to inspire every journey we create.
